Pre- Requisites

TO BE THE HOLDER OF AN INDEPENDANT WORKER PERMIT, VALID FOR 10 YEARS AND RENEWABLE, YOU MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA:

Deposit of USD 35,000 (or currency equivalent) into a bank account in Mauritius.
The funds can be used at your convenience, for example, to purchase a vehicle or an apartment.
Generation of a turnover of approximately 17,000 EUR from the third year after obtaining the permit (turnover, not profit).
Possibility of applying for a Dependent Residence Permit for your family, with a duration equivalent to that of your Independent Occupation Permit.
